even real job postings aren't real

I am still looking into working from home and sorting through all the scams out there, but I have to pay the bills as well. I have been utilizing job boards like Career Builder, Monster, and Craigslist. There are several postings for data entry or administrative work to be completed from home. I have applied for these positions which look like real job opportunities just to be emailed a link to sign up for survey sites and ads to purchase work from home memberships. What the heck? I have stopped looking into work from home postings on these sites now. I found that craigslist has the most of these unfortunately. I also applied for a postion for a court clerk. The ad stated this was for a clerk in my area. I applied for it and I still ended up with spam email to purchase a work from home membership. I couldn't believe it! My reccomendation is to be very careful which postings you apply to. Don't give out any of your contact info unless it is clearly for a reputable compay in your area. It is frustrating but I am not going to lose my positive outlook. The perfect job is out there for me and I will find it before it's too late!

Letting it all out.

I loved my job, well as much as anyone can I suppose. I hated waking up to an alarm clock, dealing with office politics, and the monotony, but otherwise I was pretty happy. I truly cared for the people I worked with and felt good about what I was doing. Then I had to have my gall bladder removed. The day I returned to work after surgery was the day I got fired. It was a total shock! I had never had a bad review, I had been told repeatedly what an asset to the company I was, nevertheless I was out of a job. Knowing how hard I worked and how much effort I put into it left me feeling angry and confused. It was like a bad break up. Everything seemed fine with your boyfriend until BOOM, he decides he is finished with you and you don't really understand why. I understand now that you really can mourn any loss.

I am healing as they say but this has to be the worst time possible to be looking for a job. I have been looking now for about a month and am starting to really freak out! So I began to look at work from home jobs to tide me over until I found the real thing. There are so many scams out there! I have been to so many sites that say they will pay you for doing a survey but you can never get to the end of the survey before they are asking you to purchase some product. I have realized that there are many people out there just like me. We should stick together and help eachother find the true work from home opportunities that are available. I'm calling you out! What have been your experiences?
